Biography: Phillip M. Galli is a doctoral student at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. His research interests include community corrections, victims of domestic violence, intimate partner abuse and police compensation. Prior to becoming a doctoral student, Phil accumulated 8 years of practical experience in the field of probation and parole (in the states of Missouri, Ohio and Illinois). He additionally has 1 year of experience as a substance abuse counselor. Finally, he has 10 years of experience teaching courses related to criminology and criminal justice. Phil holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English (minor in criminal justice) from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH and a Master’s Degree in Administration of Justice (M.A.) from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO.
